HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came to help out at Ellison Park on Saturday!
We were able to finish ALL 18 tee pads and even do some backfilling! The transformation of our most historic course is almost complete!
Many hands make light gravel!
Each tee has a base layer of large gravel (#2 or 5/8″) with a top layer of finer stone that fills in the cracks between the larger stones.
Tamping down the fine stone.
Each tee was tamped several times, finally leaving the stone a bit above the wooden frame to allow for some settling as they are used.
Hole One is Done!
This was the first tee completed, and I was honored to throw the first shot off of these new pads!
