Course Overview
Shadow Pines Disc Golf Course, established in 2022, is a well-maintained and highly-rated 18-hole course located in Penfield, NY. We’re proud to say in 2024, this course was rated #1 most popular course in all of New York State, #24 in the USA, and #99 in THE WORLD!
The course offers a variety of layouts suited for different skill levels, including beginner/juniors (Purple), recreational (Red), intermediate (White), and advanced (Blue). The design features parkland-style fairways, low-ceiling shots, wooded holes, and a challenging tunnel shot on hole #2.
Course Features
- Layouts: Multiple layouts catering to different skill levels (Red, White, Blue, and more).
- Terrain: Mix of open fairways and wooded areas, with some elevation changes on the back nine.
- Tee Areas: Turf and grass tees, with signage at each tee (including brooms and colored markers).
- Baskets: DISCatcher Pro (28 chains).
- Amenities: Seasonal porta-potty, permanent restrooms near hole #2 and the pickleball courts, benches on select holes.
- Accessibility: Some paved paths are available, but elevation changes on the back nine may be challenging for those with limited
- mobility.
- Extras: Cart-friendly, stroller-friendly, snow shovels available in winter.
- Dogs are allowed but must be leashed at all times.
Course Conditions & Reviews
The course is highly rated (4.5/5) on UDisc, with players praising its variety, upkeep, and design. Recent upgrades include basket flags (April 2024) and ongoing improvements to signage and amenities.
