====================================
Remember what it was like when you threw your first disc? Remember the joy of watching it fly, the sound of the chains, and the satisfaction of having scored? There are millions of people all over the world with no access to discs let alone Disc Golf courses. The Paul McBeth Foundation (PMF) is doing something about it. So far, in the past 5 years, courses have been installed in over 20 countries, bringing Disc Golf to places where the sport has not yet existed. These courses are having a tremendous positive impact on young people and their communities. Here’s how you can get involved in this excellent work.
On Saturday, June 20th, disc golfers from around the world will be raising funds to support future PMF projects through the Throw for More campaign. UDisc has partnered with PMF pledging to donate $0.10 for every round logged in their app on that day. Also, anyone can register as a fundraising player, and can collect pledges for the rounds they play on the 20th, with all proceeds going to support PMF projects.
What you can do to help out:
- Go to https://www.throwformore.com and register as a fundraising player. Then collect donations from friends and family for your rounds on the 20th.
- Support me in my fundraising efforts by making a donation on my personal page at https://charity.pledgeit.org/throwformore/@FrankCarbone.
- Log in a round or two on UDisc on June 20th.
Thank you for making a world of difference through your love of Disc Golf.
